Accupunture is used by many to supplement as an alternative treatment.
It can be useful in helping a wide range of health issues. Some of them are
chronic pain, digestive tract problems, respiratory conditions, nausea,
post-operative pain, musculoskeletal conditions, stroke rehabilitation,
lower-back pain, menstrual cramps, depression, asthma, substance abuse
issues, among many others.
Acupunture treatments use minute, sterile needles, which are inserted into
the patient’s body. This activates and/or balances the body's Qi (or energy
flow) and promotes natural healing. Chinese herbs are another common form of
care. It is an important addition to Accupuncture. Herbs are used to nourish
and strengthen the body. Tui Na is a Chinese style clinical massage. It is
given in combination with acupuncture in order to relieve and reduce pain,
tension and stiffness of the muscle, joints and nerves, and to heal
injuries. This is very helpful to those in purchase and sales who are out in
the field all day.
Cosmetic Acupuncture uses especially manufactured facial needles on the face
for cosmetic purposes. This unique needling helps in tightening up facial or
abdominal skin to get facial rejuvenation or to lose weight. Mugwort is
utilized in Moxibustion treatment. This requires heating up accupuncture
points or their surrounding area with special machines and items to speed up
healing. For certain problems, this method is very useful.
In cupping, specially devised cups are placed over areas on the body to
heal. It helps in shoulder and neck pains, sore muscle, tension, cold and
even some internal health problems. A Gua Sha stick is used to scrape or rub
the problem area over the body skin. This technique is to release muscle
tension or tightness and help treat some internal problems. During this,
patients are required to wear underclothing or thongs.
